When you click a buy link on this site and purchase something, the retailer may pay us a commission. It costs you nothing extra. This is how Beauty Is Me pays for itself, and it is the only way.
What it affects
Nothing about the matching. Scores come from ingredient lists through the formula on the how we match page. A retailer paying a higher commission does not move a product up. A retailer paying nothing does not move it down. We show the cheapest in-stock price we have on file regardless of who pays.
Which programs
- Affiliate networks including Impact, CJ, Rakuten, FlexOffers, and Awin, for retailers such as Ulta, Target, Sephora, and brand stores.
- Amazon: as an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon links show “Check price on Amazon” with no number, because Amazon does not let us display prices until our account qualifies for their API.
- Skimlinks, for retailers where we do not yet have a direct program.
How links are marked
Every paid link on the site goes through our own /go/ redirect and carries rel="sponsored nofollow" so search engines know it is a paid link. The redirect logs the click (which offer, which page, no personal information) so we can see which pages actually help people and which do not.
What we do not do
- No sponsored matches. Brands cannot pay to appear as a dupe.
- No paid placement on the home page. “Recent big-savings dupes” is sorted by savings.
- No hidden links. If a link pays us, it is a buy button and this page explains it.
