Most dupe sites answer one question: what is similar to product X. Useful, but it leaves the math to you. Beauty Is Me answers a different one: what does the routine you already use cost for a year, and what does it cost with the closest cheaper matches swapped in.
You add 2 to 6 products. We compare each one to every active product in its category by ingredient list, position, and key actives. Then we price the matches per ml, size them to what you actually use, and add it up. One number.
What we will not do
- Invent a match. Every pairing comes from a fixed formula you can read on the how we match page.
- Guess a price. Prices come from retailer feeds and are stamped with the day we checked them.
- Call an ingredient toxic, or sell you on fear. We say what an ingredient does and let you decide.
- Make health claims. Skin conditions belong with a dermatologist, not a website.
Who makes this
Beauty Is Me is built by HAHA Studios, a small studio in Portland, Oregon. We earn a commission on some of the links on this site. That is the whole business model, and it is spelled out on the disclosure page.
Scope, for now
Skincare only: cleansers, toners, serums, moisturizers, sunscreens, eye creams. US retailers and US dollars. No makeup yet; shade matching is a different problem and we would rather do one thing well.
